BS 8303:2026 is now published.

The updated British Standard for the installation of domestic wood‑burning and solid‑fuel appliances is officially live, replacing BS 8303:2018.

This new edition strengthens requirements for appliance selection, chimney and flue design, air supply, hearth protection, clearances to combustibles, and commissioning.
All installers, assessors, and training providers should familiarise themselves with BS 8303:2026 and begin transitioning to the updated specification.
