A lovely day at Slimbridge today 🌞 🪿

We’ve had a lovely morning at Barnwood Arboretum 🍂

We enjoyed a lovely walk collecting leaves, conkers and other autumn treasures along the way. We explored all the crunchy autumn leaves by throwing them up in the air, scrunching them and stamping through them! 🍁

We found a nice spot to sit down and get creative, making our own leaf fairies and doing some leaf sticking with the leaves we had collected. 🧚

The little ones also really enjoyed exploring the conkers, filling and emptying the basket over and over again.

A fab morning at the Play Patch group this morning for their farmyard-themed session! 🐷🐮🐑🚜

The children had lots of fun exploring all the different farm-themed sensory trays, getting stuck into some lovely messy and imaginative play. Lots of exploring and discovering – a really fun morning! ⭐️

Back in June, we had a lovely trip to the local farm shop to pick some delicious strawberries! 🍓

When we got back to the setting, we used our freshly picked strawberries to make homemade strawberry milkshakes. The children loved helping to prepare them by cutting up the fruit, pouring in the ingredients and watching everything blend together. Best of all, they enjoyed tasting their yummy creations afterwards!

It was a fab hands-on activity that encouraged independence, developed fine motor skills and introduced the children to where food comes from.

We have had a fab week full of fun and adventures! We enjoyed our toddler groups, explored the sand with lots of scooping, pouring and measuring, and had plenty of time at the park.

We have also practised our balancing skills on the obstacle course equipment in the garden, enjoyed lots of mark making and got creative exploring ice and paint. The children especially loved painting… including painting Hannah! 🎨😄

It has been a fab week filled with creativity, exploration and lots of opportunities to learn through play. ⭐️
