📢 Class Assistant Opportunities – Kumon Longlevens Study Centre (Gloucester)

Kumon Longlevens Study Centre is currently looking for two Class Assistants to join the team, starting May 2026.

Centre Working Hours:
* Monday: 3:45pm – 6:15pm (2.5 hours)
* Wednesday: 3:45pm – 6:45pm (3 hours)
* Saturday: 10:15am – 12:45pm (2.5 hours)

Key Responsibilities:
* Assisting with setting up and clearing the classroom to ensure the environment is ready for students.
* Supervising students and helping maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
* Supporting student activities such as number boards, listening to times tables recitations, and supporting reading practice.
* Marking and recording students’ work accurately and completing required reports.
* Providing a professional reception service when required, including welcoming parents and responding to enquiries.
* Assisting with general administrative tasks as requested.
* Attending supervision sessions, training, and team meetings when required.
* Following and promoting Kumon policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines.
* Carrying out other reasonable duties as requested by the Centre Manager.

Safeguarding Requirement:
Successful applicants will be required to complete an Enhanced DBS check, which will be arranged by the centre.

We are absolutely beaming with pride today! A massive shout-out to Kushal, who has just smashed a major milestone by completing Kumon Level I while only in Year 7! 🚀

📈 From Level 3A to Level I
Kushal’s journey is a fantastic example of what consistency can achieve. He started with us 4.5 years ago at Level 3A, developing strong mental arithmetic foundations. Fast forward to today, and he is confidently mastering:
✅ Quadratic Equations
✅ Quadratic Functions
✅ Quadratic Graphs

Passing Level I with a High Pass at such a young age is no small feat. It takes real grit, determination, and a lot of digital “ink” on Kumon Connect! 📲💻

What we love most is seeing the Kumon Spark extend beyond our centre. Kushal continues to thrive in his schoolwork, showing how the confidence built through the programme carries over into all areas of learning.

✨ Subtraction Superstars: Confidence Built to Last! ✨

We are delighted to share the wonderful progress Artemis has been making. She is well on her way to becoming a subtraction superstar! Her confidence in tackling numbers above 10 has been growing beautifully. What once felt tricky is now becoming more natural for her, thanks to Kumon’s trusted ten-frame method.

By learning to “bridge to ten,” Artemis is beginning to approach problems like 12 − 5 with simple, clear mental steps — a foundational skill that will continue to strengthen her mental arithmetic and overall number sense. 💡

Watching her move from using her fingers to confidently picturing the ten frame in her mind has been such a joy. Moments like these truly highlight why we love what we do. It is a delight to see our students experience these little wins every day. Their smiles when they realise “I can do this!” brighten our entire centre. 🌈
