Just a reminder that tomorrow is our Junior Explorers Halloween Party for those that booked on.

It's 11am at Whitmister Village Hall. We will have crafts, games and music.

There will also be a tuck shop selling hot and cold drinks, cake and snacks, so if you might like to buy anything we accept cash or card.

Join us for a spooktacular Halloween party for the whole family! Disco, fun party games, craft and treats.

🎃Party date: Thursday 31st October 2024

👻Time: 11:00am to 12:30pm

🎃Location: Whitminster Village Hall – School Lane, Whitminster, Gloucester, GL2 7NT.

👻Child ticket aged 1-13 years – £3.50 each (includes payment processing fee)
The upper age suggested is a guide, and for families to decide if suitable for their child.

Exciting chance to get the schools discount on a group trip to GoApe, Forest of Dean - Beechenhurst.

There are 2 high wires courses available. Below are the details sent to me about what's available.

🌳 Treetop Adventure Plus – Minimum height 1.2m - £19pp (normally £26pp)

Treetop Adventure+ is all about the ‘more’. More speed, more air, more freedom, more height and more thrills. Our Adventure+ is an extension to our Treetop Adventure experience. Participants will have full access to the Adventure loops of the course to find their feet, hone their skills and have fun. When they feel ready it's time to hit the heights of Adventure+. Further into the treetops and with more challenging crossings, finishing with their biggest zip ride of the day back to the ground.

Supervision Ratios
16+ - No Supervision required
6-15 - 1 adult to 8 children can supervise from the ground

🌲Treetop Adventure – Minimum height 1m - £15pp (normally £21pp)

Treetop Adventure offers pupils one hour of adventurous fun as they make their way through the trees negotiating crossings and completing obstacles. Perfect for inspiring confidence and turning ‘I can’t’ into ‘I Can’. Think intricate crossings, wobbly bridges and brilliant zip wire finales.

Supervision Ratios
16+ - No supervision required
6-15 - 1 adult to 8 children can supervise from the ground
Under 6 – 1 adult to 2 children must participate in the tree.

In our exciting new topic workshop for September, we will explore some Marine Biology.🌊

It will include:
🔸️A variety of water experiments - looking at density, why things float, salt content of the sea, and dead sea.
🔸️We will explore the different oceans.
🔸️Look at why we have tides.
🔸️Boats and the RNLI
🔸️Weird and wonderful creatures of the deep sea
🔸️We will look at the coastline with rock pooling, sea birds, fossils, and shells.
🔸️Arctic ocean animals
🔸️Water pollution
🔸️ Plus, a variety of crafts and games that help bring this to life, including making your own clay shark tooth necklace to take home.

💙 Cost: £13.50pp. This includes everything in the workshop plus a home learning pack and certificate of completion.

Adults are encouraged to join in with their children, but we didn't expect it at our Water Play session.

Slowly getting packed up ready for Friday's Water Play session. Can't wait! Weather is looking good too! 🥰

Our last workshop was our Victorian Workshop. It was a really fun hour and a half.

🧸We had the hall set up with lots of interactive activities and crafts, which included traditional games & toys. Making their own cup and ball toy.

🐰 There was a watercolours station based on Beatrix Potter books.

🚞 We had tables exploring just some of the huge amounts of inventions from this era.

🍋 The children made their own traditional lemonade, plus decorated special paper ready to wrap the sandwiches they made. We then set up for a parlour style game of 'pass the slipper' in the garden followed by a picnic and finished with ice cream. 😁

💙 I think it's safe to say that all the children loved it!
