The Tale of Little Red Riding Hood β™₯️ πŸ’ 🐺

So much fun was had this week! πŸ˜πŸ˜‚

Thank you again to everyone who spends our sessions with us!

We adore you all and your little ones! πŸ’–

Without you this wouldn't be possible so from the bottom our our hearts thank you for making this happen for us! πŸ’œ

It started as two friends with a passion for reading and an understanding that something may be missing in that "baby group" field. πŸ“š

Now we are taking bookings for our own group and from the amount of positive comments, further bookings and length of baby naps had, we think we might be doing a pretty good job! πŸ‘ 😊

See you next Monday! 😘

Something a little different from us today 😊
But we felt it was very important

Following opinions and comments on breastfeeding this week and how people may feel when mothers are feeding their babies 🀱

We wanted to share the SENSORY TALES remains a safe space for breastfeeding mamas.

You are welcome to feed your baby at any time during the session and there are private areas within the centre if you wish to do this 1:1.

We hope you are able to feel comfortable feeding during our sessions whether by bottle or b**b!

Happy Weekend my loves β˜€οΈ Are you having a slow weekend or is it a busy one for you?

We find Saturdays and Sundays are the time to take things SLOW but that's hard with babies although we do have more awake hours!

If you have a chance to drink your coffee hot and fit in a few pages of a good book you are winning at life! 😘

Looking forward to seeing you Monday for more Sensory Tales fun! πŸ’œ πŸ“š

Why did you decide to use Oats?

🌾 Oats are particularly interesting the magic is really that one bowl of oats becomes a tiny laboratory: touch β†’ movement β†’ observation β†’ experimentation β†’ learning.

βœ‹ Dry oats have a distinctive combination of small, lightweight pieces and a slightly rough, variable texture.

πŸ‘€ They make visible changes when moved around, which gives babies immediate feedback about their actions.

πŸ“š Not only did using oats tie in nicely with our story telling the science behind why they are brilliant for little explorers makes it even more wonderful!

✨ I wonder why messy sensory play there will be next week....

🌰 Why autumn books are so good for small readers 🌰

πŸ‚πŸ‚6 lovely Autumn books for small readers, chosen for simple language, engaging pictures, repetition, and opportunities to connect reading with the world around them.πŸ‚πŸ‚

🍁🍁🍁🍁Autumn is particularly useful as a theme because children can see and touch what they're reading about. 🍁🍁🍁🍁

After a story, you can go outside and collect leaves, look for acorns, count conkers, spot changing colours or visit a pumpkin patch. This turns new vocabulary into something meaningful and memorable.πŸ¦”πŸΏοΈπŸ¦Š

Perfect for: toddlers, nursery children and Reception-aged readers β€” especially as shared read-alouds.πŸͺΎ
