Gruffalo Granny!

We had lots of fun making our own Gruffalo Grannies this afternoon. We looked carefully at the colour of her fur, eyes and nose. We talked about how they were different to the Gruffalo and looked in the mirror to check the colour of our eyes and nose!! Luckily no blue or green noses for us!

🍎 Apples!

This is not what I had planned this week but that’s one of the things I love about this job 🫶🏻
Yesterday, I randomly put some apples in the mud kitchen which they absolutely loved cutting, mashing and adding to their soups, cakes and potions. Such brilliant imaginative play!

Then, today, one of my lovely families who has an apple tree at home brings us some apples 🫶🏻 We decided to visit a community orchard with a childminder friend to look at all the fruit trees then we came home and used our apples to paint with, we washed them and even rolled them!

Following the children’s interests and always looking for ways to extend their learning through play 🫶🏻

🍂 Autumn Window 🍂

Laminated leaves, water sprays bottles and we have an autumn window 🙌🏻

They absolutely love using the water spray bottles so I knew they’d enjoy this and got their hand muscles working hard too 💪
