JPL U9’s vs Cinderford -

Great victory 🔥

What a match today! The boys earned an incredible win over a very tough Cinderford Town side in one of our most entertaining performances yet. The way they moved the ball at times made it look effortless!

We’re improving every week, and it’s really starting to show on the pitch. With a few injuries to manage, huge credit to the players who stepped in out of position or adapted to different roles. Everyone played their part brilliantly.

We had a slightly slow start with our man-marking in the first and early second quarters, and made a few rushed decisions with our passing. But the boys adjusted, took control and showed fantastic communication for the rest of the game.

Huge congratulations to the whole team, and a big thank you to all the parents for your support! 👏

⚽ KC Coaching X Longford Youth U10s vs Wiltshire FAFC U10s

Another draw on today’s schedule 👀

⚽ Goal Scorers: Chris x2 & Sean

A brilliant game against arguably our toughest opponents yet! 💪 A real test for the boys, but one they responded to brilliantly.

We started the game a little below our usual energy levels. Our pressing lacked the organisation and togetherness we normally show, making it harder to win possession back and allowing the opposition to create more opportunities. We were also forcing passes into dangerous areas, which ultimately allowed them to take the lead.

The response in the second third was excellent. The boys showed more bravery, aggression and confidence, pressing together, competing for every ball and moving it with much better purpose. This resulted in 3 fantastic goals in quick succession! 🔥

Unfortunately, a brief lapse in concentration allowed the opposition back into the game. The boys continued pushing for a winner in the closing stages, creating several good opportunities but just unable to find that final finish.

Special mention to Harry in goal for some outstanding saves to keep us in the game! 🧤👏

A really competitive fixture against a quality side. I genuinely felt there was a winning opportunity there, but plenty of positives and lessons to take forward. Proud of the boys’ response and attitude! 👏

JPL U11s vs Chippenham

Last minute goal gave us the draw.

The team made a fast start and took an early lead, but after switching off defensively and conceding a few sloppy goals, we found ourselves behind.

We put some of the defensive routines we’ve been working on in training into practice, and the teams’ effort, desire and commitment were outstanding. We kept working hard, fought our way back into the game and delivered a really strong performance.

At times, our passing quality let us down. Better passing would have helped us create more opportunities and given us a chance to take the game. Credit to the boys for a brilliant comeback and a great team performance. 👏

⚽ Goals: Stanley, Harry and Freddie

🏆 Manager’s Player: Austin — outstanding in his first game with the team. He showed great leadership and communication, alongside some excellent defending.

⭐ Opposition Player of the Match: Zak — controlled the game when he was on the pitch.

Well played, Team KC! 💛

JPL U12s vs Dragons Football Academy
A positive start and some good moments, but we struggled to recover after going behind. A game to learn from as we get back to work for next week.

U12 Kc Grassroots vs Tuffley
A tough result despite some promising attacking play, three goals and plenty of chances. Sloppy defending proved costly against a clinical Tuffley side. We’ll learn from it and go again next weekend.

⭐ Player of the Match: Eli

Well done to all the players—onwards and upwards! 🟡⚫️

JPL U11s vs Wiltshire

Despite a narrow defeat, there were some good moments from the team. Once we got our heads up and moved the ball, we played some lovely football and created several chances. Even though we weren’t at our best, we had opportunities to get a result and still could’ve won. It was nice to see the corner routine we worked on in training nearly come off.

Some fantastic goals from Danny and Zachariah and some amazing saves from Evelyn and Jacob.

Let’s stick together and get back on the winning bus 🚌

JPL U9’s vs Weston- super - Mare

A fantastic draw against Weston-super-Mare in a tough, evenly matched game. The boys showed great communication and put the moves and goal-kick routine from training into practice. We’ll keep working on man-marking and anticipation, and learn from the late equaliser.

🏆 Coach’s Player of the Match: Isaac
👏 Opposition Player of the Match: Desire
⚽ Goals: Isaac (3), Stanley (2), Luca (1)

Thank you for your support—well done, everyone!

⚽️ KC Coaching X Longford U10s Beat North Somerset Girls U11s ⚽️

🔥 3 WINS IN A ROW! 🔥

⚽️ Goals: Jamie x2, Sean, Christopher & Archie

Another really pleasing result with lots of positives to take and plenty for the boys to learn from. 👏

We started the game really well, getting an early goal and showing great work rate and desire to win the ball back. We created plenty of opportunities and continued to push for more.

The second third was a little more challenging. We allowed the opposition to create more chances and they found an equaliser. We weren’t quite protecting the ball as well as we know we can, trying to take on too many players and holding onto the ball at the wrong times. The boys worked hard, though, and did well to keep the game level.

Before the final third, we spoke about getting back to playing our way, working together and combining as a team. We don’t want 7 individuals, we want 1 team! 💪⚽️

The boys delivered brilliantly in the final third, scoring 4 goals to secure the win. The intensity was excellent, and the way they moved the ball, supported each other and created opportunities was really pleasing to see. 👏🔥

⭐ Opposition Man of the Match: Oliver
