Last week the babies took particular interest in the farm animals, so they have been exploring the farm animals in different ways, lots of sensory play and promoted speak and language by the children copying the different farm animal noises. some were able to identify the different animals too!

Preschool have been exploring the emotion love this week. They created love potions in the garden mud kitchen, using lots of different colours and utensils. They have read the Colour Monster books, and the Love Monster. We talked about who and what they loved, and then made marks to represent these, they created some amazing pictures!
This has supported their emotional development, physical development and communication skills. Well done preschool.

What a beautiful activity that has been set up today in our under 2's building, this has promoted speech and language, and they used their senses to explore the paint, and smelling the flowers.

Pre School have enjoyed one of our new book recently ‘The Space Train’. We’ve enjoyed exploring space and what we might find in space and now we’ve been working on making our own space trains to go on an adventure!

Good morning,
I was wondering if any of our wonderful parents would be able to give a quick review on day nurseries. This is a valuable tool to give an insight in the life of Partou Barnwood and really helps with new families looking for a nursery in the local area. We would be really grateful for the feed back
Thank you
Claire and Team

Preschool will be taking part in the young writers all about me, my first Poem. We did this last year and was a massive success. Please speak to your child about this. Melissa sent out communication beginning of the week for permission to share your Childs vision.

Yesterday was Lohri Festival. It is about harsh winters being over and good crops coming next farming season. 2-3’s have had a farm tray set up and made our own pictures of farm animals.

A couple of lovely activities set up in our 2-3's room, following from their interest of dinosaurs, which are always a firm fav in this age group. It sparked lots of different convocations and the child knew almost all the different names.

Preschool have been able to explore our local area this week, to enhance their understanding of the world. They went on a walk to the Arboretum to explore the changes that Autumn has made. They commented on the colours of the leaves and the different wildlife they could see, they did go on a bear hunt, but couldn't find him!
Whilst they were on their walk some of the children showed an interest in the things they did to keep safe, including wearing the hi-viz jackets and listening to the grownups. This has sparked an interest in road safety, with songs about traffic lights, the green cross code and stories, they even played a game in the garden to practice when it is safe to cross a road, and when a car stops and goes (the preschool team are great impersonators of traffic lights!). This has led to some talk about the emergency services, so the team are planning lots more activities around this.

We have had a busy day exploring different activities today. We had some activities around Remembrance day as some of the children had seen the poppies their adults have worn. We also had activities to support the story of the week in different rooms as well as lots of sensory exploration.

We have had some wonderful activities set up across the nursery the last week or so, we have been having so much fun we haven't posted in a while. However we will be back showcasing our amazing nursery regularly.
The children have been doing lots of walks out in the community to promote the world around them, giving them lots of different opportunities to learn all about the world around them.

We have had a lovely day of exploring and learning today across the nursery.
In babies they have enjoyed the sensory experience of leaves in ice, which also encouraged their physical development as they stood around the tuff tray and their communication as the adults introduced new language.
2-3s have been extending their interests around bugs and their environments, incorporating the story 'Spinderella,' they have been developing their fine motor skills to save the bugs from the webs.
They have also been encouraged to expand their vocabulary with an inside bug hunt.
