A while since I posted. I have just been too busy with doing what I love!
Sorting out my timetables, going through enquiries and firming up tutoring for next September.

I have had great fun practising Verbal Reasoning questions with my tutees this week. If you are a puzzle-lover, like me, solving the word problems will seem more leisure than work.
Here are some recommendations:
https://tangmath.com/kakooma - A fantastic game for calculations. There are lots of other good free resources on the website.
https://www.cuemath.com/math-puzzles/logic-puzzles/ - Some logic problems (good for comprehension and maths)
https://www.kensquiz.co.uk/ - good for all of the family. We use this at Christmas time!

Bank Holiday announced for the first day of Key Stage 2 SATs! But no need for panic. I can help your child build confidence so they can still enjoy a wonderful Coronation Bank Holiday and relax in the knowledge that they are fully prepared.

Gloucestershire is moving to GL Assessment for 11 Plus testing. Just like CEM, maths, comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, verbal and non-verbal reasoning all come up. It sounds like a lot to cover but my top tips are:
✏️Learn the skills for non-verbal and verbal reasoning and then practise little and often
✏️Read often and a variety of fiction, classic fiction and non-fiction
✏️Get speedy with times tables - they form the foundation of nearly every topic in maths
✏️Enjoy the process and have fun. All of my tutoring lessons include a variety of interesting activities!
