It's the thing I'm most often asked about. And it's the thing I've learned most about. Get it wrong and you end up funding the business, get it right and the business pays you and pays for its own growth.

Prioritisation is key when planning.

And sometimes we're our own worst enemies - we prioritise the wrong things. What are the wrong things? Well, ever found yourself doing something easy, but not urgent or important? For me that looks like browsing fonts ad infinitum, or considering re-branding my website. It's good, it's fun, but it's not a must do top of the list priority.

My time would be better spent doing something that moves the needle on my sales, or keeps me legally compliant. Bear this in mind when setting your priorities for the month, week and day.

So often, running a business, particularly around something that you put your heart and soul into, can be an isolating experience.

I know I'm not alone in having moments that I've thought 'What's the point?' I also know I'm not alone in having moments that are so joyous, because someone bought more than one thing - because they get you. But often, in either of those peak or trough moments, we feel like we're alone, because our friends and family aren't doing the same thing, so they don't FEEL the same thing.

In those moments, having people who KNOW what you're going through is the best. A community where everyone knows how you feel, has been in your shoes, has had their confidence knocked, or needs to build their self-belief that they can do this. So that you know you're not alone.

The community is one of the most important parts of my group programmes. So this year, I'm focusing solely on community. On bringing together like-minded people to work on their businesses TOGETHER.
