Our preschool scientists had so much fun exploring a classic science experiment using mints and Coca-Cola! 🧪🥤

The children have been learning all about science this week, asking questions, making predictions, and discovering what happens when we mix different materials together. They were amazed to watch the fizzy reaction as the mints were dropped into the bottle, creating an exciting fountain of bubbles!

There were lots of excited faces, laughter, and wonderful discussions about why the reaction happened. Activities like these encourage curiosity, observation, and early scientific thinking while making learning fun and memorable.

What a BLAST we’ve had at Partou Quedgeley over the last week! 🎉✨

Our nursery has been full of fun, laughter and lots of exciting learning! 💚

🍓 Our Toddling Babies have been busy making delicious fruit kebabs and mini pizzas! As well as enjoying a tasty treat, the children have been developing their fine motor skills, practising independence by self-serving their own ingredients, making choices and building confidence. These activities link beautifully with our curriculum by encouraging healthy eating, independence, communication and early mathematical skills through counting and recognising different fruits and toppings.

🌈 Our Babies have loved exploring our sensory dark tent, discovering a world of glowing lights, bright colours and exciting visual experiences. They have also been getting wonderfully messy with hand painting, exploring different colours and textures while developing their sensory awareness, creativity and fine motor skills. These experiences encourage self-expression, curiosity and confidence through play.

🧪 Our Preschoolers were full of fantastic ideas and asked if they could make slime—of course we said yes! They had so much fun learning how slime is made, exploring different textures, scents and smells while developing their scientific thinking, curiosity and descriptive language. It was a wonderfully hands-on sensory experience!

📚 Our Baby 2 Room has been enjoying lots of stories, songs and nursery rhymes to support early speech and language development. Through singing, listening and joining in with familiar rhymes, the children have been building their vocabulary, developing communication skills and growing in confidence with their sounds.

We are so proud of all our little learners and the enthusiasm they bring to every activity. Every day is filled with opportunities to explore, create and grow, and we can’t wait to see what adventures next week brings! 💚🌟
