The aftermath of the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria is devastating and heartbreaking to watch. My heart goes out to the people affected by the disaster. I decided to organise a community event, despite at a break-neck speed, a fundraising concert together with my husband Lloyd Buck, a couple of musician friends, Gordon Gange and some students in our lovely town. The aim is to bring the community together to support those in need.

All donation collected at the concert will go to the British Red Cross. I look forward to seeing you in the audience!

(Did I mention that there will be cake too?)

As we approach the end of another challenging year, I'd like to thank my students and piano parents for being a part of my 2021. I've enjoyed all our lessons and it truly warms my heart to see all my students progress and grow as musicians over the last 12 months.

I'm grateful that several of my students passed their piano exams with merit and above (including one with full mark! A shout-out to Luke! Super happy for you!).

I'm so grateful that some of my students told me how they have found joy and peace in playing the piano, especially in this incredibly difficult and strange time that we've all been in. Everyone's hard work, perseverance and enthusiasm are all very inspiring and I'm so grateful to have been given the opportunity to be a part of their musical life.

Hope you're all keeping well in the national lockdown. Please stay safe. We're not able to do face-to-face lessons at the moment but students have been working hard and some of us have started learning some Christmas songs.
