🌻 Nature Adventures in the Tweenies Room! 🐦🌿

Our Tweenies have been busy exploring the wonderful world of nature! 💚

Using beautiful sunflowers and natural resources, the children enjoyed investigating different colours, textures and shapes, encouraging lots of curiosity and conversation about the natural world. 🌻🍃

We also created a birdseed tuff tray, giving our little explorers a lovely sensory experience while talking about birds, what they like to eat and the wildlife we might find around us. 🐦

The learning continued outdoors as we headed off on our own nature adventures, exploring our surroundings, making discoveries and enjoying all that nature has to offer. 🌳🍂

So much learning happens when little hands get to explore! 💛

🎉 Huge congratulations to Gemma! 🎉
We are absolutely delighted to share that Gemma has passed her Level 3 Early years educator qualification – what an incredible achievement! We couldn't be prouder of our wonderful Baby Room Leader.
Gemma has been part of the Little Stars family for so many years, and during that time she has shown unwavering dedication, kindness, and passion for supporting our youngest children. She has built such special relationships with our babies and their families, and her caring, nurturing nature shines through in everything she does.
This qualification is a reflection of all the hard work, commitment, and love that Gemma brings to Little Stars every single day. We are so lucky to have her as part of our team, and we know you'll join us in celebrating this fantastic milestone.

Well... we made it! 🥵☀️

A huge THANK YOU to all of our wonderful parents for your support, patience and understanding this week. Your kindness and encouragement while we made decisions to keep our children, staff and nursery safe during the extreme heat has meant so much to us!!🫶🥰

I'd also like to give a massive shout-out to our incredible team. ❤️ Despite the soaring temperatures, you all turned up with smiles, enthusiasm and endless energy. The amazing activities you planned and the care you showed our children made it feel like just another day... if not a slightly cooler one!
You truly are an amazing team, and I'm so grateful for each and every one of you.

Now it's time to enjoy a well-deserved weekend, stay cool, put your feet up (if the little ones let you! 😉), and we'll see you all bright and early on Monday.

🐠🌈 Exploring Coral Reefs Through Play! 🌊🐚

Following our child's interest in coral reefs, we enjoyed lots of conversations about sea life and the amazing creatures that live beneath the ocean. We talked about the different colours found in coral reefs and explored how colours and patterns can be used to create beautiful underwater environments.

Using dough, we carefully rolled, shaped, and decorated our creations, experimenting with a variety of colours and patterns to represent coral and sea creatures. This hands-on experience encouraged creativity, fine motor development, language skills, and imaginative thinking as we shared ideas and discoveries together.

What a colourful and engaging way to learn about the wonders of the ocean! 🐠🪸✨

🚑⛑️ Our little stars spent their Saturday becoming first aid heroes! 🌟
Bandages were wrapped, CPR was conquered, and not a single teddy bear casualty reported… 🧸😂

So proud of the team for giving up their weekend to learn lifesaving skills — officially qualified and ready for anything (except maybe a paper cut panic 😅).

A huge congratulations and thank you to our amazing cook (and gardener 😉), Deryn, who works tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure our children are provided with safe, nutritious, and delicious meals every single day. Your hard work and dedication truly make a difference.

🎨✨ Our preschool children have been busy experimenting with changing colours!

Through hands-on play, they explored what happens when colours mix together—watching in amazement as new shades appeared right before their eyes. From blending paints to discovering surprising combinations, it’s been a fun and creative way to learn about science and art at the same time. 🌈

We love seeing their curiosity grow as they ask questions, make predictions, and proudly share their colourful creations!

Today our tinies had an egg-stra special time getting stuck into some Easter fun! 🐣🌈

We made delicious baked cornflake cakes and colourful egg-shaped treats – they looked almost too good to eat (but not quite! 😋). Along the way, we explored lots of exciting colours, smells, textures, and tastes – from crunchy and sticky to sweet and chocolatey!

There was lots of mixing, shaping, and a few cheeky taste tests… all part of the learning, of course! 😉

We had such an egg-cellent day full of creativity, sensory play, and big smiles. Wishing everyone a hoppy Easter! 🐰💛

🌟 Meet Steve, Our Little Stars Scarecrow! 🌟

We’re so excited to introduce the newest member of our nursery family… Steve the Scarecrow! 🌾😊

Steve has taken up his important role in our garden, keeping a watchful eye over our beautiful flowers and helping us look after nature. The children love checking in on him each day—making sure he’s doing a good job and taking care of him just like he takes care of our garden 💛

From bright daffodils to growing plants, Steve is helping us learn all about caring for our environment and watching things grow 🌼🌷
