Just a quick message to say thank you to our wonderful school community for their support this year, and have a lovely summer.
We look forward to seeing you in September, and good luck to our Year 6 pupils as they move forward in the next step of their exciting journey!

This lunchtime , the staff and students were delighted to be joined by the wonderful Mrs Craig who has worked at Padfield School in a number of roles for the best part of 25 years but today leaves us to officially begin her retirement.

Mrs Craig was presented with a beautiful bouquet of flowers , some vouchers and lots of cards made by the children .

Mrs Craig said she was so happy to spend the lunchtime with us all and will miss us all but is looking forward to spending lots of time with her family, her cats, dogs and her campervan!

We wish you all the best for the future Mrs Craig , keep in touch!

Here are some photos of our playground flower beds, which are in full bloom and looking beautiful.

Well done to the children who planted poppies (Puffin class), wildflowers (Robin class) and sunflowers (Nightingale class) - we are looking forward to seeing the sunflowers grow!

Also pictured are the beautiful flower beds and pots at the side of EYFS, which the children of Wren class look after.

Yesterday our EYFS class enjoyed a teddy bears' picnic on the Temple Street field which Padfield Community Spaces have recently opened up.

The children had a lovely afternoon, as did their teddies, and we are very grateful to be able to use this wonderful space.

Friday 3rd July from 5:00 - 7:00pm is our summer fare on the school playground, and we would love to see you there.

On Friday 8th May, we celebrated David Attenborough's birthday in school. As well as learning about David and his life, the children decorated tiles (the theme was wildlife) and we displayed them on the playground in the shape of the number 100, to wish Sir David a very happy birthday.

In addition to this, we held a photography competition, which was open to pupils as well as parents/carers and teachers. Our school governor and local councillor Ollie Cross kindly came in to judge the competition for us, and the winning photos from each category are attached.

Last week, some of our KS2 pupils went to The Rec on Temple Street to take part in some community tree planting. They were joined by members of Padfield Residents' Society and the Parks & Streets Team.

The children helped to plant some fruit trees and they thoroughly enjoyed helping with this important project.

We are looking forward to seeing the trees grow!
