Yesterdayโs sad news came as a shock to many people.
This morning, our children attended a special Collective Worship to remember Queen Elizabeth II and we couldnโt have been prouder at the respect and maturity shown by every child.
We remain guided by the Dioscesan Board of Education regarding the period of mourning and subsequent funeral over the forthcoming days.

Hello Yellow Day 2021 has been a massive success. The children looked amazing in yellow and thoroughly enjoyed the whole day. From the moving and inspiring assembly led by our Mental Health Champions to the phenomenal cake sale. We have been overwhelmed by the generosity of our parents who have bought and baked so many cakes that we are continuing the sale tomorrow!
An enormous thank you to all our parents and carers and to all the children and staff who have helped to raise awareness for young peopleโs mental health.
A extra special thank you to Marie and Mrs Trigg who organised the whole event and to Miss Platt for her technical talents!

Hello Yellow Day 2021
Our Young Minds 'Hello Yellow' day this year is Thursday 7th October. Children will be taking part in the 'Hello Mile' plus four different workshops linked to 'Mental Health': CONNECT, TAKE NOTICE, GIVE and KEEP LEARNING.
The children can come to school in something yellow, so for example, they can replace a part of their uniform for a yellow item, wear a yellow bow in their hair or yellow socks etc and we are asking for ยฃ1 donation in support of the cause.
Children will also need an appropriate change of footwear for the 'Yellow Mile'. In addition we will be having a bake sale, so children are asked to bring in, on the day, something we can put in the bake sale plus money to buy cakes (suggested ยฃ1).
As always, thank you for your continued support.

We are now a Young Tree Champion โBeacon Schoolโ! Out of 93 schools in England & Wales; 14 have gained recognition including us. Well done Claire T! ๐๐๐ณ ๐ณ ๐๐

We have a further three, spectacular examples of poetry from Year Six.
Seth, Emma and Alex, your work is outstanding and you have conveyed an important message in our study of Fairness, Equality and Human Rights. Well done!

Our Year Six pupils have made a wonderful job of imitating the work of Brian Bilstonโs powerful โRefugeesโ poem.
In the same style as this phenomenal poet, read each poem from top to bottom, before reading a second time from bottom to top.
Fantastic work, Year Six and a special well done to Marie, Millie and Liam, whose work is displayed below. These poems are incredible!

Well done to our Y6 girls for their thoughtful actions - a small act that has made a big impact and benefitted the community.
They have certainly demonstrated our global goals/values based curriculum in all its glory! ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ
We hope you have enjoyed a very sunny half term break ๐
We look forward to welcoming all children back tomorrow (Monday 7th June)

In Year Five, the children have composed some phenomenal diary entries in their English work. These diaries were inspired by the short-film, โLittle Freakโ, which is a perfect stimulus for our current Christian Values of Fairness and Equality.
These first drafts will be edited today and we canโt wait to read the final results.

Have a wonderful Easter and we look forward to seeing our children again on Monday, April 19th ๐๐ป
