Do you wonder why we don't have backing music in class? 🎶

Babies have more difficulty distinguishing between foreground sounds and background noise than adults, so need a greater difference between the two in order to focus on the foreground sounds.

A quiet setting allows them to hear language clearly, which stimulates the brain pathways for developing language.

It doesn’t matter if you have a great singing voice (I’m not Simon Cowell!)

YOUR baby loves to hear YOUR voice, so it doesn’t matter how you sound!
Just have fun and go with the ‘singing and signing’ flow.

Also there is this...

Did you know that singing has been proved to be highly beneficial for lifting spirits? Not just a little, but actually better than medication for postnatal depression.

A study on new mums with post-natal depression was published in the British Journal of Psychiatry. The group of mums who attended a weekly baby singing group reported a huge reduction of their symptoms within a very short period of time.

What do we do each week in our classes? We sing!

We also have a social and support half hour, often called ‘a lifeline’ by our families. It’s time for them, to chat to others if they want to, and forge new friendships as they navigate this brand-new world of parenting.

Are you ready to start a fun, educational journey with your little one? Here’s what awaits you at your first class:

✨ A Warm Welcome
We know trying something new can feel a bit daunting, so I’ll be there to greet you as soon as you arrive with a warm smile. I’ll show you where to sit and take your drink order—tea, coffee, fruit tea, decaf, water, or squash—we’ve got it all!

🎶 Starting with Song
We kick off every class with a lively welcome song to set the tone. Then, it’s time for an introduction song to help everyone settle in. For toddlers, we include a quick warm-up to get their little bodies moving and their minds ready for fun!

📚 Weekly Themes & Activities
Each week, we explore a new theme with exciting signs, songs, and activities designed to captivate both babies and toddlers. It’s a playful, engaging way to learn together during our 30-minute structured session.

☕ Social & Support Time
After class, it’s time for YOU! Relax with a hot drink and some biscuits while your little one plays with toys provided. Chat with fellow parents, ask questions, and enjoy connecting with others. It’s the perfect way to unwind and make new friends.

👋 Wrapping Up
We end with a goodbye song to bring the session to a gentle close. Then, it’s tidy-up time—a fun way to teach teamwork and responsibility to our little ones!
