🎶 A huge thank you to Stewart and Chris from Travelling by Tuba for spending the afternoon with us and sharing their incredible musical skills.

Our learners were fully engaged from start to finish, discovering just how much fun music can be to listen to, explore and take part in. The interactive session had everyone involved, and it was wonderful to see so much enthusiasm, participation and enjoyment throughout the afternoon.

Thank you for inspiring us all and showing that music is for everyone. What an engaging and memorable afternoon! 🎺🎵

Today we say a heartfelt goodbye to a P7 cohort who have been nothing short of fantastic. You have been an asset to Rimbleton in every possible way - leading with kindness, showing resilience, lifting younger pupils, and making a lasting impact on our school community.

From the classroom to the playground, from leadership roles to everyday moments, you’ve shaped our school for the better. Your enthusiasm, creativity and spirit will stay with us long after you move on.

As you head off to high school, we want each and every one of you to know how proud we are of you. We will miss you enormously, but we know you’re ready for this next exciting chapter.

🎒 Back-to-School Swap Shop 👕👟

Dear Parents and Carers,

You’re warmly invited to visit our Swap Shop on Tuesday 19th August in the afternoon to pick up school clothes for your children ready for the new school year.

We have lots of fantastic-quality clothing, including some brand-new items, and there’s plenty to choose from! Whether you’re looking for uniforms, jumpers, trousers, skirts, or other school essentials, we’d love for you to come along and have a look.

Week 7 Ecology 🌿🔥

What a wonderful week we’ve had in Ecology!

This week, the children:
🧚 Made beautiful fairies using clay, sticks, and leaves.
🔥 Learned how to safely start a fire.
🥖 Cooked bread over the fire and added cheese strings inside for a delicious campfire treat.
☕ Finished off by enjoying a well-earned hot chocolate.

The children were absolutely fantastic this week. This was their first time cooking something over the fire other than toasting marshmallows, and they did an amazing job. As the bread took much longer to cook, they showed incredible patience, resilience, and care throughout the whole process. We are so proud of how sensible and responsible they were!

🌿 Embedding the John Muir Award at Rimbleton 🌿

We’re delighted to share how we’ve further enriched our curriculum this year by introducing the John Muir Award as a meaningful opportunity for pupils to connect with, explore, and learn through nature. This accredited award has become a valuable way for us to recognise pupils who consistently demonstrate our school values — giving them the chance to extend these beyond the classroom and into the natural world around them.

The award celebrates those who continually promote our ethos of learning, responsibility, and respect. It offers a well‑deserved opportunity for pupils to deepen their commitment to caring for the environment, developing new skills, and taking thoughtful action to protect the places they explore.

Our pupils have embraced the challenge brilliantly, showing curiosity, teamwork, and a genuine passion for the outdoors. Their journey has been inspiring, reflective, and full of discovery.

🌞 Rimbleton Summer Celebration 2026 🌞

What a fantastic morning we shared together as a school community. It was wonderful to welcome so many families into the hall as we celebrated our learning, our achievements, and an outstanding year filled with hard work, creativity and success.

We were proud to recognise a wealth of sporting achievements this year, with pupils collecting an impressive range of trophies and competition wins. A huge thank you to Mr Clunie for presenting the awards and helping us celebrate our young athletes.

👏 A special well done to our Four Capacities winners:

• Nairn Hope – Successful Learner
• Emily Jeans – Effective Contributor
• Amelia Provan – Responsible Citizen
• Ellie Hamilton – Confident Individual

We also celebrated important leadership transitions within our school. Our P6 pupils received their Buddy Badges, ready to take on this valued role next year. And our P5 pupils proudly accepted their Digital Leader Badges, continuing the strong tradition of supporting technology across the school.

A big well done to all pupils who achieved 100% attendance this year — they were presented with certificates recognising their commitment, resilience and dedication.

A particularly emotional moment came as our P7 pupils were piped out of the hall for the final time before they begin their next adventure at high school. A proud send‑off for an incredible group of young people.

Thank you to all our families and wider school community for joining us, supporting our pupils, and helping make today such a joyful celebration. What a brilliant way to round off a full, vibrant year at Rimbleton 💛💙

🎪 Rimbleton Summer Carnival 2026 🎪

Here are some of our favourite photos from our annual Summer Carnival. What a brilliant afternoon it was! Every class stall was absolutely super — so thoughtfully planned, beautifully crafted, and full of creativity. Our pupils, staff and parent partnership put so much effort into making the day special.

The entertainment was excellent and it was lovely to see everyone enjoying themselves…
well, almost everyone — the teachers in the stocks might disagree!
