Join Our Team!
We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and creative Playworker to join our friendly team in our Ofsted-registered childcare setting. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children’s learning, development, and wellbeing through play.
Our setting provides a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment where children can explore, develop confidence, build friendships, and have fun.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate play opportunities.
* Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all children.
* Support children’s social, emotional, and physical development through child-led play.
* Ensure children’s safety and wellbeing by following safeguarding and health and safety procedures at all times.
* Build positive relationships with children, parents/carers, and colleagues.
* Prepare and maintain play areas, equipment, and resources.
* Observe children’s participation and contribute to their individual development where appropriate.
* Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion within the setting.
* Follow all Ofsted requirements, policies, and procedures.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
* Has a genuine passion for working with children.
* Is enthusiastic, reliable, and approachable.
* Works well as part of a team and independently.
* Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Can create fun, imaginative, and inclusive play experiences.
* Understands the importance of safeguarding and child protection.
* Is flexible and committed to providing high-quality childcare.
Essential Requirements
* Experience working with children paid or voluntary.
* Good understanding of safeguarding responsibilities.
* Ability to work as part of a professional team.
* Satisfactory Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
* Right to work in the UK.
Desirable
* Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Playwork, Childcare, Early Years, or a related subject.
* Paediatric First Aid qualification.
* Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage EYFS and/or school-age childcare.
* Experience working in an Ofsted-registered setting.
