Here are the results so far of a 3D terrain models project I’ve been working on with Meare Primary School. Using silicone rubber molds cast from my 3D printed terrain models, I’ve cast 70 plaster of Paris models for children to paint (one for each child in Key Stage 2). Year 3/4 have been painting models of the area around Lundy Island Harbour (to tie in with their coasts topic), and Year 5/6 are working on models of Cheddar Gorge.
Year 1/2 will be painting models of Brean Down next week, so stay tuned for an update!
