Iβm Julie OβHare. I am a primary school teacher. I work for Glasgow City Council and teach in Knightswood. I have 12+ years of experience in primary education. In March this year I opened the very first Little City in Scotland!
Little City is an exciting role-play experience, with 10 different role play areas, suitable for children up to and including 6 years old. Itβs ideal for nursery/ELC children, P1, P2, and those with ASN.
Little City is made up of more than 36 branches across England, one in Wales and the first ever Scottish branch opened in March 2026! π΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ Ώ
In addition to public sessions and parties, we also offer school and nursery/ELC educational workshops. Little City comes to your establishment!
Our sessions can be used in lots of different ways, including:
π Your new P1 starters can have a lovely experience without leaving their new environment of school. Some schools also invite the parents / carers in of their new starters as a great way to start building home / school relationships.

π Careers / aspirations weeks
π Developing social and communication skills
π Transition sessions from nursery/ELC to primary school
π Workshops which support the CfE E&Os at early level and first level
π Development of vocabulary and writing/mark making in real life contexts
π Turn taking, independent play, co-operative play within the role-play environment and development of fine and gross motor skills
Sessions are fully inclusive and, because of the high quality and well thought-out areas with beautiful designed backdrop boards, children can fully immerse themselves in each role-play area.
Because we come to you, there's no expensive travel costs to include, no additional staffing to consider and the environment (e.g. their school hall) is familar to the children so they feel safe.
We stay for the duration of the workshops to interact with the children, reset the areas and help facilitate the play.
Please feel free to tag staff / schools/ other educational settings below π

Thanks for reading and we look forward to hopefully bringing the city to lots of your settings during this academic year!
