REMINDER - REGIONAL COURSE - SCOTLAND

On Saturday, September 12th, led by Sensei John Bruce 6th Dan, KUGB Scotland will be hosting a FREE course for all KUGB Members.

Location: Kirkintilloch Leisure Centre Woodhead Park, Glasgow G66 3DD

Training Schedule:
11.00am – 12.30pm: Kata
12:30pm – 2:00pm: Kumite

This course is FREE for all KUGB members.
Open to 7th kyu and above

Reminder!

KUGB Scotland's Free Regional Kata and Kumite Course with Sensei John Bruce (6th Dan) is next weekend on Saturday September 12th 🥋🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

The course is open to all KUGB members who are 7th Kyu and above

The course will consist of Kata from 11am to 12:30pm and Kumite from 12:30pm to 2pm

It will be held at Kirkintilloch Leisure Centre, Woodhead Park, G66 3DD

We strongly encourage all eligible Seigō-Sei members to attend but please remember to register for the course using the KUGB app!

🙌 Grading Success 🙌

Today we hosted our third course and Kyu grading of the year with Sensei Frank Brennan (8th Dan)

Well done to everyone who passed their grading today - very strong effort from everyone!

Special mention to our friends from Largs Karate Club who attended the course and graded today!

KUGB Summer School at Lancaster 2026 complete!

What an amazing time we had. Fantastic instructors, training with the best Karateka, meeting friends old and new!

Thank you to the KUGB instructors and organisers for a truly amazing course. So much amazing tuition and lots to work on. Great to hang out with our good friends from Largs Karate club!

Day 4 of KUGB Karate Summer School done!

Amazing classes from the two Sensei Brennan's.Today we did Kata Chinte and Gankaku. We also did some partner work and combinations.

Excellent tuition as always from all the KUGB instructors!

Another amazing day of karate!

Today's class from Sensei Caroline McGrath included kata Meikyo and some kumite techniques!

Then back to Sensei Higgins who covered Tekki Nidan and some bunkai!

Also attended the first aid lecture covering fractures and Mental Health first aid!

Exhausting, but a great day!

Day 2 of KUGB Summer School at Lancaster University done!

Day one of KUGB Summer School done! Great to meet up with so many old and new friends!

As always the tuition is excellent, classes today lead by Sensei Billy Higgins (8th Dan) and Sensei Jimmy Brennan (8th Dan) we covered Kata Heian Yondan & Jion. Also several complex combinations with partners.

An excellent day of karate followed by Sensei Billy's legendary quiz where we teamed up with Largs karate club to form a Scottish team! Lots of laughs but no prizes!
