Colourstrings Bearsden

Colourstrings Bearsden Colourstrings music classes for babies, toddlers and young children. Classes aim to provide an exciting, fun environment which in turn stimulates good learning.

Using musical games, songs, rhymes, dances, percussion instruments, live music, puppets and pictures, children and parents/carers are introduced to all the basic concepts of music and are encouraged to find their singing voices. Research in recent years has proved beyond a doubt that music classes at an early stage have an extremely positive effect on a childs development. Classes are held on Fridays and Wednesdays in Bearsden for children from 6 months - 6 years of age.

Using singing, movement and play children will discover pulse, rhythm, pitch, and the joy of making music together. Perfect for nurturing young musical minds. New family class starts this Friday.

What a fantastic night at Ayr Town Hall for the West of Scotland Schools Symphony Orchestra concert! 🎶🎻
Huge congratulations to all the Music School of Douglas Academy players involved. Special shout out for Zoe leading the orchestra so well and performing her Scheherazade solos beautifully.
It is incredibly rewarding to watch our former "Mini Maestros"—Zoe, Emily, Rebecca, and Lucy—grow into such accomplished musicians 🌟👏

Fantastic concert by West of Scotland Schools Symphony Orchestra in Ayr Town Hall tonight. Congratulations to all the Music School of Douglas Academy players involved - especially to Zoe, who did an amazing job of leading the orchestra for the second year in a row, and who played her Scheherazade solos beautifully.
