Free Thursday night workshops exploring creativity, identity, storytelling and culture through hands-on art sessions and collective creativity 💥

🎸Be an Instrumental Instructor and get involved in workshops and classes, teaching drums, keys, vocals, guitar, or bass. Plan lessons, guide the girls+, and help them make some sweet noise!

🎶Apply as a Band Mentor to support and mentor girls+ in writing a song and getting it ready to perform at our showcase. Work collaboratively, build confidence, and lead in a group setting.

✨ You can apply for one music role, or BOTH if you want to get involved fully! Joining the musician team doesn’t mean you can’t help out elsewhere, we want to use your skills and provide flexible volunteering opportunities wherever you can contribute.

🗓️ Applications are open until March 22nd – come make some noise and inspire the next generation of rockstars! You must be female-identifying or non-binary and aged 18+ to volunteer.

✨Every day is International Women’s Day at Girls Rock Glasgow✨ but today we’re asking our community to go one step further and help power the noise.

You already show up to celebrate our girls, their bands, their songs and their confidence on stage, but what you might not see is the small but mighty team behind the scenes making it all happen. 👭🏻

Funding is what keeps Rock School running every year but as our young musicians get bolder, braver and more brilliant, the demand for what we do keeps growing too!

Our core team give up evenings, weekends and spare moments around full-time jobs, PhDs and all the usual grown-up chaos because we believe girls deserve space to be loud, creative and unapologetically themselves in music.

So in the spirit of honesty: if you love what we do, and you’ve got a few pounds to spare, we’d really appreciate your support.

Calling all future rockstars! 🌟 Whether you play guitar, drums, sing, or just love making noise, Girls Rock Glasgow is the place to be. Learn, jam, and make new friends while boosting your confidence and creativity.

This block runs February 26th – March 21st and is open to girls+ aged 13–17 in Glasgow.

Expect hands-on creative workshops across creative arts, visual media, movement and cultural crafts, plus a Big Day Out exploring artist studios, exhibitions and other inspiring spaces across the city.

We loved hosting the first in our Junior Arts Workshop series last night! 💛

Our first session was all about zine-making, and it was awesome.

Huge thanks to everyone who came along, and to everyone who applied. We were truly overwhelmed by the response!

We’re back and kicking off 2026 with a brand new programme of free creative workshops for girls+ in Glasgow 🤘

Throughout 2026, we’ll be delivering 8 blocks of creative workshops offering fun, hands-on activities including creative arts, visual media, movement and cultural crafts for ages 8 - 17. Each block also includes a Big Day Out - exploring artist studios, exhibitions, and other inspiring creative spaces across the city.

Our first block running January - February is now open for 8-12 year olds!
