A 69-year-old woman from South Korea named Cha Sa-Soon became a global symbol of perseverance after finally earning her driver’s license, on her 960th attempt. According to TODAY Online, she began trying to pass the written portion of the driving test in 2005 and kept failing for years. Despite the setbacks, she continued taking the test almost daily, spending over 5,000 USD in fees before finally passing in 2010.

Her story gained national attention and admiration. According to Supercar Blondie, Cha’s determination inspired many, proving that age and repeated failure are no barriers to success. Her journey lasted 14 years, and she now holds the world record for the most attempts to pass a driving test.
