3. artists collective providing a rootlike attachment to Glasgwegian soil. Holdfast was founded by recent graduates of the Glasgow School of Art, as a way to keep close working ties with one another and with the city of Glasgow as we embark on our individual practices, which may carry us f

ar across the world. We have found over time that our work shares recurring and complementary elements, including the blending of organic and man-made materials, and ecological themes. By working both independently and collaboratively we are able to broaden and support each other’s practices, as well as working towards common goals. The Holdfast artists can be found at exhibitions and workshops, in galleries and gardens, or drinking tea in our studios. We’d love to work with you on future projects and endeavours. The submission brief for our next issue is up! Our Mabon zine will be released on the 13th of September, in time for Yuck 'n Yum zine fair in Dundee, (at which we're super psyched to have a table) and the deadline for submissions is September 5th.
