Hi everyone! I would love your support with this. I’m sure you’ll all know I’ve started running my own charity Hazel’s High Notes CIC recently. This gives families with babies/toddlers an opportunity to access structured, themed music and play classes on a Pay What You Can basis. There is also time for chat and peer support for the first half hour with free teas/coffees and biscuits. It was set up after my own experience of postnatal depression and psychosis and finding no support or services in Ayrshire. So I decided to combine by own lived experience and my experience of working with music and families into a project that could help others ❤️ I recently applied for some funding and got his event is taking place tomorrow at Netherthird Community Centre. I can’t be there, but one of the other directors and my mum are going to talk a bit on my behalf to tell everyone about what we do. Funding will be allocated on a voting basis. So I’d really appreciate it, if any of you live nearby if you could pop along and give us a vote to help allocate us some funding to use going forwards. Thanks so much! ❤️

Alan here, it is one week until our PB event takes place. 🙂

The group applications are in, the burgers and pizzas are ordered and the 5k is ready to be distruibuted.

The night starts at 18:30, Netherthird Community Centre., so pop in and cast your vote for the group(s) you feel are best deserving of some funds.

MY HEALTH, MY RIGHTS: A NATIONAL SURVEY FOR SCOTLAND'S CHILDREN - Children's Health Scotland 03/06/2026

I came across this today and thought it sounded really worthwhile. The healthcare service is on its knees and I often worry about how it’s going to look in the future. I often worry if the boys ever need healthcare support if they’ll get it as soon as possible because the waiting lists seem to get longer and longer. Just thought if you or your family are involved heavily with the healthcare system just now, it might be a useful thing for you to complete so you can feed back how it all feels. I think it’s also nice when they consider hearing from a child’s viewpoint too ❤️

Hey! So I said I’d do a little video just for an update about classes etc over the holidays.
Also some other info and updates about stuff!

⭐️ Baby to Teen CIC very kindly donated £300 which will go towards ongoing venue hire and expenses over the year to sustain the Pay What You Can basis. It’s always really special when other organisations see the work we’re doing and believe the same as I do that it’s a worthy cause! 🥹 They have a charity shop in Ayr, so if you have anything that you’re looking to get rid of, please consider getting in touch with them to see if they need donations ❤️

⭐️ Both Cumnock classes are currently full with those with a permanent space. Catrine has only one permanent space remaining. If you’re not sure if you have a permanent space and you would like one, please send me a message. A permanent space means you no longer have to message to book in every week, you just come along. All I ask is that you let me know if you can’t make it so I can release your space to those on the waiting list for that week.

⭐️ Even though all classes are full. Please don’t hesitate about joining the waiting list. People do cancel most weeks and spaces do come up regularly, so it is worth joining if you’re thinking about coming along.

⭐️ I’ve changed the way I operate the waiting list, I used to always message the first person at the top and wait for a response before offering it out to anyone else. But I found sometimes that they wouldn’t always reply and then that space wouldn’t get filled. So I think now, I’ll offer it out to everyone on the waiting list at the same time and whoever replies first will get the space. That way the space definitely gets filled ☺️ If you’re at the top of the waiting list and a permanent space becomes available, you’ll always be offered the space first because you’ve been waiting the longest.

⭐️ Classes will return week beginning 15th June. They will run for 3 weeks. Off for 2 weeks because I’m working my other job - week beginning 6th July & 13th July. Back for one week - week beginning 20th July. My surgery falls on the Thursday 23rd July hoping to have the Thursday class on the Wednesday afternoon and hope most of you can come, but will discuss that nearer the time. Then off for 2/3 weeks depending on my recovery.

⭐️ Thanks to all those that completed feedback forms. There is a link on our private group page if you haven’t had a chance to do one. Your views are really important and it’s good to use as evidence for funders ❤️

⭐️ We are taking part in a Participatory Funding event at Netherthird Community Centre on the 5th June where people get the opportunity to vote for groups that they feel deserve funds and those will then be distributed between those groups. I’m unfortunately away which I’m gutted about! But one of the other directors on the board, Emma, will be there to do a speech on my behalf alongside my mum who volunteers every week. If you can pop along and support us, that would be amazing!

⭐️ Thank you so much again everyone for all your support every single week! I continue to be overwhelmed by how much the classes have grown over the last 6 months and that’s purely down to all of you who come along and spread the word ❤️

One of the mums sent me this picture a week or so ago of her wee one Tommy 🥰

He’s took a real interest in the ukulele in class, in fact, he is usually trying to pull it out before I’ve even started 😂 So his mum got him one to play with at home.

I try to make the classes as child-led as possible. If your little one comes and goes with the activities, that’s fine. It’s always interesting to see the different songs/activities/instruments that intrigues all their different little brains.

The ukulele is usually a firm favourite with a lot of them. It’s always lovely to see, from the teenie tinies, the quiet ones, the chatty ones, the lively ones, that when it comes to music, it doesn’t matter what stage they are at. Music is a language all on its own ❤️🎵

Hey team! We are going to be at this event. I unfortunately won’t be there because I’m away. One of the other directors and my mum (who you’ll all know volunteers on a Wednesday and Thursday getting you your cuppas and keeping you fed with biscuits) will be there to fill everyone in on our classes and what we do ☺️ If you can get along and support us then it would be really appreciated!

❌CLASSES ARE OFF FOR THE NEXT ❌
2 WEEKS!

What’s in the magic box?? My sanity hopefully lol 😂 Just a reminder that classes are off for the next 2 weeks so I can have a little break and will return week beginning 15th June.

I know a lot of you have been asking about classes over the summer. There’s a few different things happening for me through the summer so I’ll do a wee video and post at some point over the weekend.

I will message everyone over the weekend, but please spread the word too about classes being off for the next 2 weeks! I will miss singing and dancing with you all and my little pals 🥰
