The British Association of Teachers of Dancing (BATD) offers a structured examination system designed to support dancers from their earliest stages through to professional levels.

Graded Levels:
Pre-Primary to Grade 4: Foundation and development levels focusing on technique, musicality, and performance.

Grade 5 to Advanced: Higher-level training that refines artistry, technical precision, and performance quality.

SCQF Credit Points:
From Grade 5 onwards, selected genres are recognised on the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF), awarding credit points that reflect the level of achievement and learning hours completed.

UCAS Points:
From Elementary level, candidates can earn UCAS tariff points, which contribute towards university and higher education applications in the UK.

This progression ensures that students not only gain artistic and technical excellence but also receive formal recognition for their achievements within the UK education framework.
