The materials can be moved, carried, combined, redesigned, and taken apart and put back together again. There is no right or wrong way to play with the materials, therefore helps to build up children's confidence ππ

Tollcross Matters have shared an event for families that is taking place tomorrow from 11am-3pm.
At 11am a picture will be put up on the site where the walk will start. You need to find the bunny to receive your raffle ticket to collect your egg (we will tell you where to go for that when you catch us.
When collecting your bags and eggs, you will be asked to wear a mask and to sanitise your hands to keep everyone safe.
The competition for the books and crayons has changed slightly instead of everyone getting a number we will ask you to put your name at the back of the raffle tickets and we will draw live. (The pens will be sanitised after each person uses it).
If you are interested in attending this fun, free event, please go onto the Tollcross Matters site for more information. Happy Easter π£

Today is Pancake Tuesday. Here is a simple recipe if you want to make some pancakes with the children. Letβs get cracking...π
Pancakes:
* 2 large eggs
* 2 cups 250ml milk (skim, low fat or full fat)
* 2 1/4 cups white self raising flour*
*
INSTRUCTIONS
* Whisk the eggs and milk together to combine. Add in the flour, and beat until the batter is smooth and lump free. Add in any option add-ins you like here.
* Heat a nonstick pan over low-medium heat with cooking oil spray. Wipe over excess; pour about 1/3 cup of batter per pancake. Cook pancakes for 1 to 2 minutes, or until bubbles appear on the surface and the bases are golden brown. Flip and cook until golden; transfer to a warmed plate; repeat with remaining batter (spraying/greasing pan between ever second or third pancake if needed).
* Serve immediately with yoghurt, ice cream, whipped cream, maple syrup, berries, or any other toppings you like.
