Kuk Sool Won Glasgow Korean Martial Arts school in Central Glasgow that encompasses traditional martial arts, fitness, sparring, grappling, acrobatics and weapons training.

Kuk Sool Won™ is a Martial Arts system which looks to explore the entire spectrum of Asian fighting arts and body conditioning techniques. Kuk Sool Won™ teaches effective martial arts techniques ranging from kicking, punching, joint locking and grappling as well as traditional aspects of martial arts such as forms (patterns) and traditional Korean weapons. WKSA Scottish Tournament begins today! 🥋⚡ Here are a few highlights of our students getting geared up and ready for the big day ahead.

Best of luck to our black belts competing today and our colour belts stepping up tomorrow. A huge good luck as well to everyone taking part in national testing and to those working toward their promotions.

Grading day highlights 📸🔥

A pyramid format that tested everything:
hand strikes, kicks, break falls, takedowns, forms and weapons.

Each level added another rep, building fatigue and testing memory, all the way up to level 9.
From the fundamentals to advanced forms under serious fatigue, this is what progression looks like.

We ran a pyramid format, each level including
hand strike
kick
breakfall
technique with takedown
form

Each level added another rep, all the way up to 9 levels, with PSBN Ruaridh finishing on 9x Sam Bang Cho Hyung.

And that was after an hour of intense weapons.

Physical, technical, mental. Exactly how a grading should be. 👊🔥
