Back delivering Outdoor First Aid this week, great to be out working through practical scenarios and hearing participants' experiences of first aid in the outdoors.

"As an outdoor leader I have been on numerous two day day Outdoor First Aid courses and found most of them tick box courses and something you just have to get through. I actually enjoyed this course as it was full of hands on training and scenarios which I needed. It's hard to retain all the theory on these courses but a more practical approach suits me best. The trainer is also an outdoor leader so that helps that he knows the real world constraints we leaders work under in terms of kit and conditions" – Rodger, Outdoor First Aid (2026)

Grizedale Gravel. 40 km with nearly 1000 m of elevation gain. Standard Lakes steeps, some fun techy single track, strong winds, and even an appearance made by the sun.

Brucie Bonus if you can name the peak this path leads towards?
Clue: it is said to have inspired the fictional Kanchenjunga in Arthur Ransome’s Swallows and Amazons.
