The S.K.G.B. ratifies the awards of Black Belts (Dan Grades) within its membership and organises the training of its National Squads for international competition. also organises the Scottish National and Scottish International Open
championships which includes categories for children. licenced Coaches / Instructors are registered with the S.K.G.B. and have attended courses in Child Protection have knowledge of current safe practise, have attended First Aid courses and have had their Black Belts Ratified by the S.K.G.B. operates a child protection policy for its membership
