The children are having lots of fun this morning exploring in the foamy sea life trough. They are enjoying exploring the texture of the foamy water using the different sea life creatures. They are working on their fine motor skills when using the plastic tweezers to pick up the sensory ice cubes.

Call or email now to secure a space your child at our Hawthorn Walk Nursery. Situated at the bottom of Hawthorn Walk, at the junction of Dukes Road, this Nursery provides Day Care for children. We are a solely based under 3 nursery. We take children from ages 10 months until 3 years. This Nursery has established a very warm & friendly environment which provides excellent Early Learning and Child Care. At the age of 36 months, children will transition to our nursery situated on Brownside Road.

The children had lots of fun yesterday celebrating Valentine's Day. They enjoyed taking part in a range of different sensory activities throughout the day such as playdough, rice and shredded paper.

The children enjoyed making valentine's biscuits to take home using icing sugar, jam and sprinkles.

The children even enjoyed some love heart shaped toast for breakfast.

We hope everyone had a lovely Valentine's Day!

Here is a little sneak peak of some of the raffle and tombola prizes we will have at Saturday's Christmas Fair.

We are hoping to raise some good funds for our chosen charity which is Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity.

Hi Everyone,

We are having a Christmas Fair this year within the nursery. We will be holding our Nursery Christmas Fair on Saturday 10th December 2022 from 10am till 12pm. We will have lots of things to do such as Raffles, Tombola, Lucky Dips, Face painting and Glitter tattoos, Cake Sale and even Santa.

All funds raised will be donated to the Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity.

We hope you will all be able to make it.

If anyone has any Raffle or Tombola prizes, they would be able to donate it would be greatly appreciated.

Our staff have been working really hard over the past few months rearranging the playroom to provide a positive and nurturing environment for the children. Here are some of the areas we have been working on.

The children are having a lovely morning so far exploring in the garden during outdoor play. This week the children have demonstrated a keen interest in dinosaurs. The children are having lots of fun exploring the different textures of the materials in our dinosaur themed tuff tray. 🦖

Over the past couple of days the children have been taking part in various different experiences to celebrate Chinese New Year. The children enjoyed trying different Chinese food, exploring in the red themed play dough and water and making lovely tiger masks to represent the year of the Tiger.

Yesterday the children all had lots of fun at this years Christmas party. They enjoyed having Ally the elf come into the nursery to do magic tricks, singing and dancing. The children then got a special visit from Santa where he brought all of the boys and girls a lovely gift.

We hope everyone had a fun time.

This week the children have been having lots of fun taking part in different Christmas themed experiences.

The children enjoyed exploring their sense of touch when exploring the different textures of the tinsel, Christmas baubles, shredded paper and acorns.

The children also had lots of fun developing their hand eye co-ordination when making edible Christmas trees. The children enjoyed independently using a spoon to scoop up the green icing sugar before letting it drip onto the cone. They then added different sprinkles to decorate their edible trees.

Today, the children had lots of fun taking part in various different activities while taking part in Children in Need. The children enjoyed exploring in the Pudsey themed rice, making Pudsey biscuits and using various different resources to make collage Pudsey faces.

This morning the children had lots of fun exploring their sense of taste through a fruit tasting experience. The children enjoyed trying passionfruit, grapefruit, lemon, lime, peaches and pomegranate seeds. They developed their confidence to try new things.

Over the last few weeks the children have been focusing on investigating what objects look, taste, and feel like by showing an awareness of shape, colour, texture and size. Today we used edible paint to continue to focus on this.

This morning, the children were developing their knowledge on colours. They enjoyed exploring the rainbow coloured dried rice. They had lots of fun identifying the different colours and using their hands to explore the texture of the rice. They used a range of different media to do pouring and filling. 🌈❤️

Today the children have had lots of fun using their imagination when exploring in the angel delight. They used the angel delight as mud and enjoyed exploring in it making the cars all dirty. They then enjoyed using the water to wash the cars and make them all clean again.

This morning the children had lots of fun using their different senses while exploring our sensory bags. They enjoyed using their sense of touch and smell while exploring the different materials inside the bags.

Today we start our private zoom sessions for our children and families that are not attending nursery at the moment! We want to continue to provide learning opportunities for all of our children as well as offer them a chance to do activities together with their friends at nursery!

Thank you to everyone who donated to our foodbank collection, it is greatly apricated. It will go along way to help families who are struggling over the holidays.

This week the children all enjoyed taking part in various activities and experiences to celebrate world rhyme week. We enjoyed going a walk to look for buses, coloring in, taking part in water play and exploring with the playdough.

Throughout this week the children have all had lots of fun celebrating Halloween. They enjoyed dressing up and taking part in various Halloween themed experiences.

Today the boys and girls had lots of fun visiting valley view adventure park, being able to pumpkin pick and exploring the outdoor play area🎃🧙👻🖤
