Omigod You Guys we cannot believe our competition is tomorrow 😍 A PSA for all attending! there is lots of car parking spaces available at the venue, however there are LARGE pot holes on the road leading up to the venue so be very careful or you might end up with a very burst tyre…🤣🩷

MEET OUR NEXT JUDGE AIDAN! 🩷💚💙💛

We are absolutely buzzing to announce Aidan as our next judge and cannot wait to welcome them at Curtain Up! 🎭

Aidan MacColl is a Glasgow born, raised and based actor and musical theatre coach. They began their training at The Dance School of Scotland, MTC before graduating from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland BA Musical Theatre course in 2017.

Aidan’s acting career has seen him perform in Scotland, London’s West End, across Europe and beyond over the last 9 years.
He originated the role of Leonardo Da Vinci in the world premier of musical comedy Pop Off, Michelangelo! at the Edinburgh Fringe, he then joined the show again as it ran in London’s West End in Spring 2024 before its return to the Edinburgh Fringe once again.

Other notable theatre credits include: Gallus in Weegieland (Tron Theatre); Pop Off, Michelangelo: in concert! (The Other Palace); The Little Mermaid (Hope Mill Theatre/UK Tour); Snow White, Jack and the Beanstalk & Beauty and the Beast (Eden Court); Jack and the Beanstalk & Beauty and the Beast (Eastwood Park); Cinderella (Motherwell Theatre); Raintown (workshop, Dundee Rep). Aidan was also a Lead Vocalist for AIDA Cruises on board AIDAmar and AIDAdiva.

Screen credits include: Tell it to the Bees (Reliance Entertainment Ltd); Pink Apartment (Q***r Theory); Carrie and David’s Popshop (BBC Scotland).

Outside of his acting career, Aidan is a an acting and musical theatre coach and has taught across the country and directed Broadway Jr productions in the USA.

Aidan looks forward to being able to see local the Scottish talent on the stage on the 7th of March and we are sure they will be able to provide extremely valuable feedback for every performer 🎭🩵
