🎮 Strathclyde student D’arcy Dhanda has been shortlisted for a BAFTA Young Game Designers Award for his powerful video game that puts players in the shoes of a sweatshop worker in India.
First-year Computer and Information Sciences student D’arcy started work on his game ‘Maya’ whilst still at school, and hopes to continue developing it at Strathclyde.

🆕 Professor Malcolm Macdonald has been elected President of the Royal Aeronautical Society, the oldest aeronautical society in the world, and the only professional body dedicated to the entire aerospace community.
Professor Macdonald is Director of Strathclyde’s Applied Space Technology Laboratory, where he and his team are fostering innovation and pioneering new technologies in space and related sectors.

🚀 Strathclyde is playing a key role in a landmark UK-led space mission advancing the future of ultra-secure global communications.
As a partner in the Satellite Platform for Optical Quantum Communications (SPOQC), Strathclyde is contributing cutting-edge expertise to a CubeSat mission launched aboard SpaceX’s Transporter-16 in March.
The satellite will test quantum signal transmission between space and Earth - a crucial step towards building global quantum-secure networks.
