Chores work! Teach your children well !

Harvard’s 86-year multigenerational study found strong connections between doing household chores and later professional success among 700 high achievers.

The key is making chores part of shared responsibility and teamwork rather than isolated tasks.

Research published in Journal of Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrics found children starting chores at ages four or five develop higher self-confidence and self-efficacy.

Kids doing regular chores showed better prosocial behavior, academic ability, peer relationships, and life satisfaction compared to those rarely helping at home.

The frequency of kindergarten chores positively correlated with third-grade social, academic, and life satisfaction competencies.
