We are looking forward to 21 of our children attending The Little Iceberg Musical this week over 2 sessions!
We can't wait to hear what the children take away from it!
It maybe some of our children's first time at the theatre ♥️
Today is the big day! The Little Iceberg Musical premieres today at 5pm! We are very proud to have worked with Anam Alba to bring this story to life in this new form. Composer Siobhan Argyle has brought something wonderful to life. We trust it will now find its way into many more hearts.

Our 2-5 year old children had a day of being outdoors developing their cognitive, physical, social and language skills during a fun day out on their bikes and scooters!

Our Early Years Practitioners are responsible for providing a high standard of learning, development and care for our children, which is steeped in the knowledge of attachment theory and early brain development. Supported by our Nursery Manager and Deputy Nursery Manager, our team will nurture environments that are emotionally and physically safe.
Lullaby Lane Nurseries:
Lullaby Lane Nurseries is an Attachment Led Nursery, based in the heart of Westerton and Milngavie, specialising in the care of children aged 0-5 years old, the most formative years of a child’s life. There is a wealth of research to indicate the environment a child is exposed to, in the very earliest of years, has an impact on how they develop cognitively, emotionally and socially, which they take with them through into adulthood.
Role of the Early Years Practitioner:
• To ensure our environments are safe, nurturing and engaging both indoors and outdoors
• To meet with our families at drop off and pick up times
• Provide a high level of awareness to transition periods and be responsive to the emotional needs of our children and families during this time
• Plan stimulating and engaging activities for our children to thrive
• Prepare lunch and snacks
• Undertake risk assessments
• Complete daily paperwork, including but not limited to, risk assessments, registers and room temperatures
• Complete observations for our children and update our learning log system
• Be involved in supporting new children to settle into our nursery environment
• Complete home visits as and when appropriate
• Liaise closely with our families, informing them of activities and exchanging information about progress
Qualities and characteristics:
• Have a fascination and curiosity in the development of children
• Show a commitment to ensuring their professional development remains relevant and up to date through accessing current research on child development
• Be an outgoing, friendly and enthusiastic person with the ability to have fun
• Can demonstrate our values of Love, Curiosity, Integrity and Courage
Essential Skills and Experience:
• Hold a minimum HNC/SVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Childcare
• A current PVG and SSSC registration
• Have knowledge of GIRFEC, Pre-Birth to Three and Child Development and be able to give examples of use in practice

Yesterday Sophia and a group of children spent time going on a nature walk around our local woodlands area.
