Our children have been visiting Botantic gardens, spending lots of time outdoors, learning about animals we see in nature and developing relationships with each other.

It is wonderful to hear from families on how our children are taking all of this back home and leading trips with their families.

Yesterday a group of our children visited Westerton Care Home, they had the pleasure of spending time with some residents while having fun together 💚

We are thankful to have a communuty around us that supports building relationships 🙏

Our children ventured out into the local community for a litter-picking walk. Through shared experiences and meaningful connections, they explored how their actions can make a positive difference to the world around them.

As we walked together, children noticed the environment, asked thoughtful questions, and worked collaboratively to care for the spaces they use every day.

These moments help children develop a sense of belonging, responsibility, and empathy for both their community and the natural world.

On Thursday night our team attened a session on The Power of Play explored attachment, attunement, relationships, and creating environments where children can thrive.

By investing in our knowledge, we continue to strengthen our practice and provide the attachement led care that every child deserves.

Adventure Days ✨

As part of our transition to Primary 1, we’ve been buddying children up with peers who will be attending the same school 💚

Through shared adventures, play and connection, the children are beginning to build familiar friendships.

From an attachment-led approach, these relationships create emotional safety and a sense of belonging both essential for children to feel confident and secure.

Science tells us that connection is at the core of how children learn. When children feel safe, supported and emotionally regulated, the brain is more open to curiosity, communication, memory and learning.

Children learn best through relationships, and transitions feel easier when they know they have adults around them to co regulate.
