📚✨ Story Time Fun in Grasshoppers! ✨📚

The children in Grasshoppers had a wonderful time using their imaginations to make up their very own stories! From exciting adventures to funny characters, the children shared lots of creative ideas and worked together to build their stories 🌟

Storytelling helps to develop language, communication and confidence while encouraging creativity and imagination. The children loved expressing themselves and listening to each other’s wonderful ideas 😊

🚴‍♂️ Balance Bike Fun in Butterflies! 🚴‍♀️

The children in Butterflies had a fantastic time using the balance bikes outdoors! They practised pushing, balancing and steering as they confidently zoomed around the garden 🌟

Using the balance bikes helps to develop the children’s coordination, balance and gross motor skills while also encouraging confidence, independence and lots of active fun! 😊

The children loved taking turns, cheering on their friends and challenging themselves to go a little further each time. 💛

🍓🍌 Fruit Kebabs Fun in Butterflies! 🍍🍇

Butterflies enjoyed making their very own healthy fruit kebabs! They carefully used knives to chop up different fruits, practising their fine motor skills and learning about kitchen safety with support from staff.

Once the fruit was prepared, the children had lots of fun choosing their favourite pieces and threading them onto skewers to create colourful fruit kebabs 🌈

The children were so proud of their creations and loved tasting the delicious fresh fruit afterwards 😋

🦋 The Butterflies have had such an exciting experience watching their tiny caterpillars grow and transform into beautiful butterflies!

The children loved observing every stage of the life cycle, learning how the caterpillars changed inside their cocoons before emerging as butterflies. They helped to care for them by feeding them fresh fruit and watching them enjoy their tasty treats 🍎🍊

The children then proudly helped to release the butterflies into the world, waving goodbye as they flew away 🦋💛

❄️ 🧊 Ice Painting 🎨 🖌️

The Caterpillars enjoyed exploring with a large block of circular ice on the tuff tray. Initially, they explored the ice by touching and holding it. Later they used watercolour paints and paintbrushes to paint on ice. They engaged with the paintbrushes and used their fingers to express their creativity.

Through this experience, the children developed:

Hand-eye coordination
Fine motor skills
Sensory awareness
Shape recognition
Colour recognition

Our Dragonflies have been loving their arts and crafts activities! 🐉🎨

The children have been exploring lots of creative ways to paint, using flowers, their hands, blocks, and stones to create beautiful prints and patterns. They also enjoyed spice painting, adding a sensory element to their artwork, and have been busy doing lots of drawing to express their ideas.

Our Caterpillars have had a wonderful time exploring a variety of fun experiences! 🐛✨

They’ve been enjoying outdoor play, getting hands-on with playdough, and exploring sensory play with sound blocks. There were lots of smiles during water play, and great curiosity shown as they rolled balls through tubes, discovering how things move and work.

🍪👩‍🍳 Baking Fun in Butterflies! 👨‍🍳🍪

The children in Butterflies had a fantastic time baking delicious biscuits! They carefully helped to measure ingredients, mix everything together and shape the biscuit dough before watching them bake 🌟

Baking is a wonderful way for children to develop their fine motor skills, confidence and early maths skills while learning about following instructions and working together 😊

The best part was tasting the yummy biscuits they had made themselves — the children were so proud of their hard work! 💛

Our Butterflies have been busy getting creative during their arts and crafts time! 🦋🎨

The children explored painting using brushes and bottle lids, creating different patterns and prints with lots of colour. They also enjoyed cutting leaves and experimenting with flower painting, using natural materials to make beautiful artwork.

🏡✨ Role Play Fun in Butterflies! ✨💄

The children in Butterflies had a wonderful time exploring the home corner and enjoying lots of imaginative role play! They loved pretending to care for the home, getting ready and using the make up resources as they acted out different real-life experiences 😊

Role play helps children to build confidence, communication and social skills while encouraging creativity and imagination. The children enjoyed chatting with their friends, taking on different roles and expressing themselves through play 🌟

It was lovely to see so much laughter, teamwork and imaginative thinking throughout the activity 💛
