Considering online tutoring for yourself or a family member?

Let me tell you why I think 1:1 online tutoring is the way to go:

1. Learn at your own pace.🚶‍♂️

Largely populated classes can be stressful and demanding for many individuals. Attempting to keep up with the pace of the class is not always feasible and and the lack of 1:1 time can result in students falling behind. 1:1 online tutoring allows you to learn at your own pace and be coached through particular areas of difficulty.

2. Interactive and Engaging Lessons.📲

Each online lesson is specifically tailored to the individual and their personal learning style and strategies. Not only this but the lessons are interactive and designed to keep students engaged for longer periods. This helps to maximise learning within a given timeframe.

3. Instant Feedback. ✅

Often in large groups, feedback can be hard to come by. Teachers may struggle to find the time to provide feedback to such a large group of students which can prevent both teachers and students from identifying gaps in learning. 1:1 online tutoring allows students to receive instant feedback on their work in order to tackle areas of weakness.

4. Safe/Comfortable Learning Environment. 🏡

Tutoring / private tuition can be nerve wracking, meeting new people and working in an unfamiliar environment. With online 1:1 tutoring students can learn in the safe and comfortable environment of their own home. This means students are far more likely to engage in lessons with minimal other distractions.

5. Lesson Recording and Online Resources. 💻

Online tutoring also offers the ability to record lessons as they happen, thus enabling students to re-watch lessons in their free time to consolidate their learning. The online platform is also useful to share various resources throughout the academic year for further student development.

I studied at the University of Glasgow where I graduated with a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2022. ⚙️

I have over 2 years of experience as a Maths and Physics Tutor for students up to and including A-Level / Scottish Higher. I provide a flexible approach to teaching and ensure each student’s lessons are tailored to their specific learning style in order to maximise academic growth. 📚
