💡 Advancing Next Gen Battery Tech 🔋
We are delighted to share that Dr Stuart Robertson has secured a fully funded four-year PhD project supported by The Faraday Institution , focusing on magnesium battery electrolytes.⚡
This award strengthens our research in energy materials and contributes to the development of next generation battery technologies, addressing key global challenges in energy storage and sustainability. 🌱

🌍 Strengthening international collaboration in measurement science 🤝
In April, as part of ongoing efforts to internationalise the Centre for Advanced Measurement Science and Health Translation, Professor Damion Corrigan and Dr Veerappan Mani received two Royal Society International Exchanges Grants.
🔬 One award supports collaboration with Professor Chi-Hsien Huang at Ming Chi University of Technology, Taiwan, focused on advanced manufacturing approaches for laser-induced graphene electrodes for next-generation biosensing applications.
🌐 The second supports work with Professor Juewen Liu at the University of Waterloo, Canada, developing a new laser-induced graphene aptasensor platform for continuous monitoring applications.
👏 Congratulations to Damion, Mani and their international collaborators on strengthening the Centre’s global research connections and translational impact.
