I have a Bachelor of Music Degree from Glasgow University specialising in Vocal Performance, a Licenciate Teacher's Diploma in Singing from Trinity College, London and Associate of London College Diploma in Piano. From August 2004 - present I have been teaching young people (from 5 upwards) and adults (no upper age limit) gearing the lessons to suit their individual needs, ie I can enter them for
exams or provide basic learning-centred lessons which do not lead to exams. I teach Singing, Piano and Music Theory, beginners to advanced, across a variety of genres. I also have an HNC Singer/Songwriter and HND in Music (Rock and Pop) - check out my video in Band Profile performing covers of Al Green's "Let's Stay Together" and The Police "Walking on the Moon". There is also a recording of some backing vocals I did for a Leeds rap artist. I can also offer help with Associated Board exams including Rockschool, and SQA music exams, including composition (check out my composition "Raining in Amsterdam" in my Band Profile which I wrote in 2014 and "Resurfaced" which I co-wrote with Tony Malek in 2014. I offer individual or group tuition and I also offer voice workshops on request. I am a Celtic Reiki Master and teach relaxation and breathing techniques which include yoga and chi kung exercises, and colour visuation/toning techniques. This enhances the body's own healing pathways (meridians) and offers healing on many levels including deep relaxation which can reduce or eliminate panic attacks. I have a warm friendly approach, and I motivate and inspire my pupils. While I accept that everyone learns at their own pace I do emphasise the importance of regular practice to make the lessons worthwhile for everyone :)
