Join our team as a Customer Support Apprentice, this is an ideal versatile role for someone looking to kickstart their career in the Digital Applications sector. The role offers customer interaction and digital support across our departments as part of ongoing learning alongside communicating within the team whilst also contributing to the team at the same time.

Duties and key responsibilities:

As an apprentice, you’ll earn your SCQF Level 6 Diploma in Digital Applications Support while assisting in different parts of our business. You’ll use various digital tools, and your tasks may include:

Become familiar with the CRM software
Monitor incoming emails and answer or forward as required
Communicate in polite and courteous manner
Answer phones and transfer to the appropriate staff member
Maintain office filing and storage systems
Update and maintain databases such as mailing lists, contact lists and client information
Coordinate Director’s calendar
Type documents, reports and correspondence
Co-ordinate and organise appointments and meetings
Monitor and maintain office supplies
Maintain trusting relationships with suppliers, customers and colleague
Impute data into Excel spreadsheets and software
Help with digital marketing

The Admin Helpdesk Apprentice efficiently manages the overall daily activity of the engineering team as the jobs come in on a daily basis. Using the latest scheduling software, manage the delivery of jobs allocated to the engineers. This position will be contracted to work Monday to Friday on a shift pattern of 8am - 1pm and 1pm - 6pm.

What skills will I learn?
β€’ To schedule all reactive and planned works to appropriate resource, paying attention to expertise and response targets.
β€’ To ensure that the engineer days are optimised to drive maximum productivity from the team.
β€’ Ensure all jobs marked as incomplete by engineers are followed up and reallocated as appropriate.
β€’ Arrange third party attendance where required, raising appropriate Purchase Orders and Work. Requests and obtaining required completion information.
β€’ Ensure all jobs are completed within the required response times.
β€’ Deal with communications in a professional and prompt manner.
β€’ Ensure non productive time is accounted for on system.
β€’ Escalate issues with specific jobs, the customer or engineers promptly.
β€’ Ensure full audit trails are maintained and evidenced where required.
β€’ Follow Group and company policies and procedures, at all times.
β€’ Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery, or risk to health and safety, or the environment.
β€’ Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received.
β€’ Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager.
