Little Stars Nursery, Melisa House, Glasgow, is based within the ground floor of a modern business unit a few minutes’ walk away from the Digital Media Quarter, Glasgow Science Centre, BBC and STV Studios and very close to the city centre. Our nursery offers a flexible approach in support of modern day families in all aspects of nursery life with an extensive car park to the rear of the nursery an
d designated parent parking, ensuring easy, safe, and quick drop offs and pick ups. There are excellent public transport links with an underground tube station a few yards away and bus stops close by. The nursery has been finished and equipped to a very high standard whilst adhering to the professional guidance from the Care Commission, Infection Control, Environmental Health and the Fire Department. There is a security video entry buzzer system at both external entrances. A state of the art Fire Detection System and ceiling mounted air conditioning/heating units, keeping radiators away from little fingers. The nursery is contemporary in design and open plan where possible which allows maximum visibility in all areas. Children are cared for in a secure and stimulating environment, designed around the needs, age and stage of development of the children in our care. Different age ranges are cared for in areas to suit the children's needs with a separate sleep room for younger children to create a restful, quiet atmosphere when needed. We also have designated computer/ ICT areas to suit all age ranges. An outdoor, secure play ground is located to the front and side of the nursery. A fitness trail encourages active, energetic play. Discovery and learning activities along with imaginative play are also provided in the open air (weather permitting). Needless to say we have a full range of equipment and resources for all children, which will inspire and stimulate development through fun and play indoors or out.
