I've been talking to Richard Cogdell about the Botany dept reunion that I mentioned earlier. We've chosen the evening of saturday 24th May (2014), after lectures finish for the year, as being a good date for it. The reunion will be for years '80 through '85, plus past and present staff and current students would be invited. But mainly it is another good chance for us to get together again. We could always meet up for a pre-event drink.
I'm not sure of all the details of the evening yet. Probably a buffet and bar in the function room in the Bower Building (that's our old Botany Department building, or at least the rebuilt post-fire version of it). Not sure if we'll have to pay for a ticket or if GU will be standing the cost of the food or drink, or what but it won't be expensive. I'll let you know when Richard has answered those questions.
If anyone has any contact details for anyone in the years above or below ours could you please pass them on to me or pass this info on to them.
It would be helpful to know how many people are interested. A simple one word email of yes / no /maybe will do, if that's all you can fit into your busy life. Equally, let me know if you want me to drop you off the distribution list and want me never to sully your inbox again. I would, of course, love to see you all there.
