Well it's the end of an era for TinyTalk Glasgow South! Ted has now reached retirement age and is hanging up his TinyTalk hat for good 😥

I'd like to say a massive thanks to all the families who have supported myself, Liz Hardie and Sarah Paterson over the years to make TinyTalk Glasgow South a success! We have encouraged thousands of families across Glasgow to sign with their babies, with friendships made along the way that will last for years 💜

All my props and puppets are now packed up and ready to make their way to new homes, with the exception of this fine gentleman... Would any of my previous class families like to volunteer to give Ted a new home?! He's a well loved, well worn teddy but still has lots of love left to give! He has been to hundreds of classes and had his nose almost rubbed away by curious babies, he's been through the washing machine more times than I can count but he still has both eyes and all his stuffing! My kids are big now and if he stays with us he's likely to spend his twilight years in the cupboard 😂

Whew, time to relax after an amazing, if slightly emotional, last week of classes! Many of you now know that after 7 happy years of teaching, I am moving on from TinyTalk to start a new adventure as a classroom assistant. I have loved every minute of this job, even over the last year and a half when it was Zoom from the living room!

I can't thank my class families enough for the support and loyalty you have shown me over the years, and for all the lovely cards and gifts I have received this week! Your wee ones smiley faces, signing, and adorable singing has been a joy to watch and I wish you all the best in your coming adventures.

Finally, after a very long wait... it's TinyTalk Toddler time!

I'm so excited to be able to welcome you along for a new term of Toddler Talking classes, launching at 10.30am on April 27th at Cathcart Baptist Church!

We work on social skills (sharing, teamwork, turn-taking), early learning (🔺shapes, 🌈colours, 🔢numbers), and developing both fine and gross motor skills, all whilst being silly, using musical instruments and props, and generally having loads of fun!
🌟 classes encourage communication, both verbally and with BSL signs
🌟 aimed at little ones from 18mths to preschool age
🌟 learn a new life skill by using BSL signs yourself while bonding with your toddler
🌟 meet and get to know other lovely local mums/dads/grandparents
