๐ญ This session's ๐๐๐ป๐ถ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐บ๐ฎ ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ฑ๐๐ฐ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป saw eleven of our S1 - S3 pupils take on Dennis Kelly's acclaimed play ๐๐ก๐, performing over three evenings in the Senior School Drama Studio.
Darkly funny, gripping and unsettling, the play explores guilt, peer pressure and how far people will go to protect themselves. Our magnificent young cast tackled the tough subject matter with real maturity and skill, focus and determination.

๐จโ๐ณ Hot on the heels of the Transitus Bake Off Final, First Year pupils put their baking skills to the test in their very own Technical Challenge.
Bakers were given a โnever before seenโ recipe - as they were challenged to make a batch of empire biscuits within a timed deadline... โ and with no help from the experts!
Our pupils rose to the challenge, creating bakes that Paul Hollywood himself would have been proud of!
๐
Congratulations to Star Baker Anna L, and to runners up Imogen M and Camilla F. And thanks must go to Cara M and Layla W for bringing the idea to Miss Moore, showing the power of pupil voice. Well done S1!

๐ What a fantastic day at our annual ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ถ๐ฟ! Our pupils had the chance to explore a huge range of exciting future pathways, from university to apprenticeships and beyond.
We were delighted to welcome more than 17 universities, including St Andrews, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Newcastle and Strathclyde, giving pupils the chance to chat directly with admissions staff and get the inside scoop on university life and study options.
The day was packed with brilliant talks and workshops too! ๐ A huge thank you to Rathbones for an engaging introduction to careers in finance, and to The University Guys for sharing insights on studying abroad. Pupils also dived into careers in STEM, discovered the benefits of the apprenticeship route, and picked up top tips on writing standout personal statements thanks to the University of Stirling. A creative vision boarding workshop rounded things off nicely, encouraging pupils to think big about their goals and ambitions.
๐ Our pupils left feeling informed, inspired and excited about what's next, with the knowledge and confidence to take their next steps with real purpose.

๐ฉโ๐ณ Following some extraordinary heats earlier this term, ten talented bakers took to the HFT Department recently to compete in
Our esteemed judge for the day was Helen Vass โ a winner of the original series of Bake Off: Crรจme de la Crรจme, and current chef lecturer at South Lanarkshire College. She was ably assisted in judging by our Fifth Year enthusiasts, Rosie S and Rebekah d G (who was recently crowned Rotary Great Britain and Ireland Young Chef 2026 winner).
Helen was very impressed with the enthusiasm and organisation displayed by all the finalists, commending their dedication in preparation for the competition and their positive attitude and support of each other during the final.
๐ She recognised Mia M as runner up for her excellently presented and well baked Victoria sponge, before crowning the Bake Off Winner for 2026 - ๐๐ถ๐น๐๐ฎ ๐-๐ฆ! Her delicious lemon drizzle cupcakes wowed the judges - the perfect bake, flavour and presentation that "could be sold in any bakery" ๐ง
