Our Butterflies chose purple for their colour of the moment, so yesterday they had a purple themed fun filled day with lots of experiences! ππ£πͺ
On Tuesday we had Shhh Dance Studios visit the nursery for a fun dance and gymnastics class. The children absolutely loved this fun session!
Last week, a child's Dad came to visit the Ladybirds room to talk about his important role as the owner of Two Birds Fitness. He kindly shared insights about his profession.
The children all thoroughly enjoyed exploring the small weights, skipping ropes and taking parts in some exercises that will help keep us healthy.
Both the children and staff had a great time during this engaging session.

We were fortunate to have another of our parents visit our nursery and speak about her job as a pharmacist. The children were enthusiastic and asked many questions about various medications and how certain illnesses are treated. We sincerely appreciate you taking the time to share about your role with the children.
Recently, a parent came to our nursery to talk about her job as an interior designer. During this session, the children had a great time exploring various samples of materials, trying on a hard hat and high-vis vest, and even looking at floor plans on an iPad. We would like to express our gratitude for taking the time to share your job role with the children.
Smiley Stars In Service Day - Friday 22nd September!
All of our nurseries came together to take part in a training day, the day was filled with valuable learning opportunities, great team building and sharing our best practice that will benefit the children in our care and improve our daily practice. We covered a number of different topics:
βNursery evaluation survey and improvement discussion from our Managing Director Tammy.
βPresentation on Voice of the Infant: Best Practice Guidance and Infant Pledge from our Operations Manager Sima.
βPresentation and interactive session provided by Marie Richardson from Head of Early Years training to progress at Alice Sharp Ltd.
βFirst aid refresher course from Dr M. Hosni.
βOral health refresher course by Lindsay Cully from the Glasgow City Health Improvement Team.
Parent Involvement!
This morning, one of our parent's kindly came to visit the Butterflies room to talk about her important role as a doctor.
We had wonderful discussions about patient transport, bandages/plasters and how to care for yourself if you get a cut, we discussed how we keep ourselves safe with face masks and had fun using the stethoscope to listen to our heartbeats!
Both the children and staff had a great time during this engaging session.
