πππDevelopment Dayπππ
Yesterday was our nursery development day. A day packed with training, fun activities and meaningful discussions β¨
In the morning, the whole team took part in Curriculum training provided by Early Years Scotland. This was very informative and all staff took away a lot of learning from this ππ
In the afternoon, the team took part in an activity called Memory Wall - all staff had to think of memories within the work place and share this with the team π
This allowed staff to share positive experiences amongst the team and gave everyone some laughs π€
Luisa - our operational manager went through a very interesting slideshow on Sandra Duncanβs honeycomb hypothesis.
This allowed reflective discussions to take place on the learning environments provided for children and how this has a huge part in how children play and learn β¨
Overall a very productive day π€π

So much food, so many games and so much laughter this afternoon ππ
The team were able to relax and enjoy themselves after a full-on development day yesterday which included taking part in a Trauma workshop.
It is important that the staff team are able to switch off and do something fun to wind down as they work so hard all year round.
Even Kevin and Andy managed to get a little break from all that hard work, ensuring our new playroom is coming along nicely π₯°
We would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a healthy and happy New Year π₯³πwe would like to thank all our families for their continued support and we look forward to welcoming you back in the New Year β£οΈ

π Our first parents evening at Ruchazie Nursery in a long time π
What a fantastic two evenings this week, allowing parents to come in and have relaxed discussions with staff about their childrenβs learning and progress.
Evenings like these allow parents to come in and see the amazing things that go on at nursery. Day to day drop offs and pick ups can be rushed, and evenings like these allow parents to spend time in the environment their children spend their days exploring β¨
It is a great opportunity to:
π Speak to staff about their childβs progress and interests
π Review and update personal plans and inclusion support plans
π Ask any questions and give feedback through questionnaires
Parents were so excited to read their wee ones first ever report ππ
