Our mission is simple – to provide a *FREE* service that widens access to health, wellbeing, and educational dance classes for everyone. 💙

Thanks to the incredible support from our funders, we’re proud to expand into Shettleston, alongside our original Monday class in Helenslea Community Hall. The demand for free dance and wellbeing classes has been amazing, and we’re delighted to see so many people benefiting from what we offer!

Could You Help Us as a Board Member?

We’re currently looking for new people to join our board and help support the future of our organisation. Like many charities and community groups, we’re finding it increasingly difficult to recruit board members, so we’re reaching out to our community in the hope that some willing and supportive people might consider getting involved.

Being a board member is a great way to contribute your skills, share ideas, and help guide the direction of the organisation.

We would especially welcome people with
experience in areas such as:
•HR
• Marketing
• Accounts / Finance
• Charity Governance
• Charity Law

You don’t need to know everything about the organisation already — we’re simply looking for good people who care about what we do and are willing to support our work.

The time commitment is small. The board meets just four times a year, and any costs associated with attending meetings will be covered.

At Distinctive Dance Academy, we believe every child should have the opportunity to learn, grow, and gain industry-recognised qualifications. Taking part in dance exams helps young people develop commitment, confidence, and a strong work ethic - that reach far beyond the studio.

These achievements are a wonderful reminder of what dedication and perseverance can accomplish, and we love celebrating every step of our dancers’ journeys.

Gymnastics Coach Wanted!

Are you passionate about gymnastics and want to inspire young athletes? We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Gymnastics Coach to join our team at a vibrant dance school!

📅 When:

Sundays, 9:30 AM - 1:00 PM

February 2026 - July 2026

💰 Pay:

Up to £25 per hour (depending on experience)

📍Helenslea Community Hall, Parkhead

As a coach, you will be working with talented students, helping them to build their skills, improve their technique, and prepare for our end-of-year Dance Show. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an inspiring creative environment!

What we're looking for:

A qualified gymnastics coach with experience working with all skill levels.

Passionate, motivated, and committed to helping students grow.

Experience working with children and young adults.

Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor.
