Some simple things to think about for great leadership include knowing the team you work in, communicating and listening to colleagues, and only asking those things that you would do yourself. Lead by example.

Last week, my 7-year-old son amazed me by coming home with exciting news! As part of the Change Maker Technology Champions, he and his friend presented a slide to the entire school during the weekly assembly. Two years ago, he was the shy boy avoiding the climbing frame. Now, he confidently spoke through the microphone, encouraging his peers to join the group.

I'm immensely proud of his growth and the opportunities he's had. It got me thinking about my own childhood and the lack of such chances. Do you share similar thoughts? Day 3 and the beautiful weather continued for us in Scotland 🙌🙌

We started our Easter Sunday with a walk up conic hill, the new path is looking fab!! What a beautiful country we live in when we get weather like this ☀️🌞
Built up an appetite so followed it with an amazing dinner 😁😁

The other day at bedtime my boy said "why were you home sooooooooooo late today mummy" Rather than being a stab in the heart or a pang of guilt, I just smiled.

Yes I had an appointment that meant I wasn't home for end of school, however I was home by 4pm.

It made me smile because he clearly can't remember the days he was in childcare 50hrs a week, Monday-Friday 8am-6pm and screamed clinging to me every morning as I dropped him off.

Nowadays, I choose the hours I work. Which means I get to do morning drop off, either collect him myself from school, or I am at home when granny or aunty bring him home to spend time with him. No more stressful emotional mornings and we get quality time during the school year, and especially during school holidays 😁

Out this morning for a couple hours walk! Got lost 🤦‍♀️
Ended up in 7ft ferns, having to follow a 10ft fence just to get back to civilisation and having a dog who was a flight risk 😱

Was a bit of an adventure to say the least 🥴
