We have been working on a health economics and outcomes research ( ) project for the past few weeks. During that time, we kept coming across the overall survival (OS) rate of patients before and after a particular treatment. Naturally, the ideas of death and the value of life as a whole kept us wondering. The first thing that came to our mind as we were going through all this complex web of questions, observations, and theories was a clip from season 2, episode 2 of Star Trek: The Next Generation.
Some people think of this TV show as just another unrealistic Holywood science fiction production. Be that as it may, we actively find the philosophical discussions shared between the characters rather inspiring!

We also find that Captain Picard's choice of words and his use of smart, well-structured sentences very worthy of adopting within med comms.

We hope you enjoy this video.

We had such a great time giving a Microtalk in West Kilbride on Saturday the 25th of August 2018.
The title of our talk was: Scotland: where dreams meet reality! In this talk, we shared with the wonderful organisers and audience some of our best moments in Scotland, both professionally and recreationally.
The attached picture captured us sharing some of the best moments we had whilst leading and delivering a public engagement activity about the importance of plants in maintaining life on earth.
The Microtalks event, organised by Creative Works, was a chance to hear great talks from other presenters and to engage with the lovely audience in thrilling, deep, and fun conversations in West Kilbride, Scotland's only designated craft town.

So, the use of the is not limited to space travel where the of the starship uses it to jump/travel across thousands of light years in seconds! It seems to be also used as a network to send "subsoil" (as opposed to subspace) messages between plants so that they can !

Today, we attended the Scottish Public Engagment Network (ScotPEN) social event at The University of Glasgow.

It was a great opportunity for us to meet and network with amazing people from different universities and establishments who are involved in science outreach and public engagement.

The has been a lot of discussion around internationalisation, which as you know, is a topic that we are heavily involved with as BioLogic through our links between the UK nd Lebanon.
